Kings Park Flowers
Posted By: wjt, 09-04-2010, 03:25 AM

Went into Kings Park in Perth today and met up with goddo31. Here are a few from the day. These have all had little to no PP. Although i was using predominantly my new FA77 it seems the few i am posting are from my DA35, mostly due to focusing distance.

I used Goddo's M135, here is a "test" shot

DA35. This photo is my favourite from the day. No PP

Some great shots here. The second photo really pops, all with sharp focus, vivid colour and great lighting. Well done.

Great set of pictures. Do you know the name of the flower in the 4th picture?

I'm pretty sure they are called Red Hot Pokers over here, not sure what the botanical name is though.

I like #3 the most too. Glad to see you liked that M135... I'm still stoked that you let me borrow the FA77 for a bit, awesome lens that one.
Thanks for an enjoyable afternoon out, was nice to meet your friendly partner too.

cheers,
Jason

p.s. I will try and post some of mine up soon...

Those bright captures from the DA 35 and FA 77 are exemplary.
Well done.

Thanks Ash, first proper shoot with the FA77 i quite like it, and the DA35 has been my long time favourite.

When i got there the light was horrid, changed every shot... full sun to cloud cover and back again from one shot to another. But went and had lunch and the sky cleared out for a spectacular afternoon.

Thanks Dave, the DA35 pretty much does all the work for you.

Thank you all for the comments

2nd and 5th are great, and 1,3,4 are ordinary. Just MHO.
