Kings Park Wildflower September
Camera: K200D

Met up with mibane yesterday for some photos at Kings Park for the wildflower festival, which runs through the month of September.
I was lucky enough to borrow mibane's new FA77 for a couple of shots, lovely lens!

That shot with the M50mm seems particularly successful- but aren't these all about 1/3 a stop overexposed?

Great series mate. I like your first one... none of the ones i took of that particular species worked out the way i wanted. Some great shots with FA77, you are going to have to get one now. I do like the way the 135 renders, can't wait for mine to arrive.

Looked at your series on flickr, great shots. TYFS

oh, was great catching up again and look forward to the next meet up. Hopefully a few more can come next time.

I like the M50 shot with the bright contrasting colours outside of the DOF (does that make sense???).

Adam, thanks for commenting on my shots. After reading your comment and viewing these somewhere other than where I did PP, I think you are correct in that they are overexposed :ugh: oops
I think I will have to revisit them sometime soon.

Thanks That first one is not one I expected to work out, but I like the colours. Not sure what part I was trying to focus on though. I will have to get one, will see how the credit card is feeling

I liked the last two, and the new one is a beauty. You might try cropping out
about 1/3 of the shot. You don't need all that bokeh on the left side. Really
neat shot. Freddy

Thanks Freddy for having a look and the comment. I think you have a point. I have been a bit over the top with bokeh and shallow DoF with this whole series.

Goddo, I peeked at your other shots in Flickr.
I must say 6450, 6444 are really nice shots.
All I can say about the superb 6440 shot is I wish I had shot it! Freddy
