This shot was taken to illustrate the Thompson submachine gun for an article I wrote. The gun belongs to a friend and the photo was taken in his back yard on a piece of white countertop material on an overcast day. A Manfretto tripod was used to take the picture from directly overhead.

Very nice shot...no pun intended....LOL.

My father was a Sergeant Major in the Canadian Army during WW 11. He was a marksman and one of his duties was training soldiers to shoot Thompson's, BREN Guns, etc.
