All about expressions
Lens: 50mm prime Camera: K20D Photo Location: Botanical Gardens ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F2.8

Practicing with my prime lens in the Botanical Gardens. What is good or bad with with this one.

Not bad. It is in a little tight for my taste cutting off the forehead and the chin may be too much. I also think the contrast is a little harsh. It would be nice to have some fill on the subject's left side. His right eye has that 'high noon' dark shadow. Also, if it were easier to see his right eye, I believe you would see that the eye is soft/blurry as a result of a large aperture. Perhaps, putting the subject in a more shaded area and stepping back while stopping down to f/4-5.6. Just my $.02
