Mount St Helens #2

Taken on a better day than the previously posted photo of St Helens. The sky was still clouded and featureless, but the clouds were high enough to clear the top of the mountain. I like the St Helens sort of looms over the foreground trees with just a trace of the access road visible. Image this mountain over 1200 feet higher before its 1980 collapse.

I like the young trees in the foreground against the hollow of the mountain, suggesting rebirth and growth after the devastation of 1980. Works for me.
