Lens: 50-135 & FA50m Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Eureka Nightclub ISO: 1000
Posted By: Christopher M.W.T, 09-10-2010, 08:44 PM

Shot entirely on the FA50 * DA50-135, with the iso range of 1000-2000.

Since the 1.1 Firmware I found the K-7 was focusing so much better under poor light that I was shocked.

As I have no working strobe all the shots were accomplished with existing light.

Shot in JPEG at 14mp with Reversal Film setting.

All handheld, using AF all but 2 times, shutter speeds never exeeded 1/50.

I love taking photos at these events as I always get at least a couple of hookups and phone numbers

The little dark haired one with the cheeky smile was my favourite

Thanks
Had a lot of fun taking them!

I must say it has wet my appetite for shooting with fast primes.

Really would love an 85mm 1.4 to go with this.

Those are some amazing shots! I am surprised how well the K-7 was handling the noise, very nice. Really like the colors.

Man - these are very impressive and it's great to see musicians that appear to be enjoying themselves instead of pretending to be mad at everybody.

Colors are super.

Just a little.

Mind shoot was shooting at F1.4 and handheld with a slow shutter, not quite the best combination :P

Great job!
Well done.

I too love covering events(great challenge). And I love the idea that you just never know what your going to encounter until you get there.
I also get phone no's, but... there always work related

Yeah they are good fun, I should really do more.

Nearly every time I do them I hook up with at least one or two girlies, something about the allure of a cameraman :P

SOme more misc shots...I felt totally crippled without a working flash that I only used the pop up flash about 2-3 times, I hate the thing!

I got to admit, I kind of have a thing for the singer ,hence the photos :P

me looking grumpy as I entrusted my camera with a drunk girl, she was cute, was on her way to the strippers she was saying....

I liked this one more
