Little kids, big trees
Lens: DA 18-250 Camera: K100D Photo Location: Redwood NP ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F5.6

This is one of the 12 finalists in the Save the Redwood League's "Walk Among Giants" photo contest:

This is from summer 2009. We've previously been to the redwoods and I wanted a photo like this - the kids almost disappearing into the fog.

The public votes for the winner until September 30.

Scott, I think this is a great shot! I would prefer a larger one though, because I want to see the photo here, not at Flickr....

Update

The winners were announced yesterday and I won:

Photo Contest | Save the Redwoods League

The prize is a guided hike 900 miles away in Big Sur, California, but you never know, we may have to take a quick trip sometime.

A terrific shot - everything is great: composition, exposure contrast and . . . . . subject. Congrats on your win - pretty easy to see why!
