#2 From another Chinese Classic - Journey to the West . The tale tells of a monk's ( real life historical figure from the Tang Dynasty ) ardous journey from China to India to bring back a sacred Buddhist Scripture . given the difficult journey, he is aided by several diciples ( fictional figures )with mystical powers. In this scene, they are aided by a giant turtle which helps them to cross the ocean, and to search for the Goddess of Mercy.

#3 Historic figures during the period of the Warring States as depicted in another Chinese Classic literature - Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Those from the US will come across them if they have watched the movie " RED CLIFF " , directed by John Woo .
