There's a one SV difference in these two shots (1/400, 1/200). Taken late in the afternoon facing west so that some of the gullies and washes were in shadow.

Unique desert land.
This would be great landscape for a late afternoon shoot.

used to live in las cruces...i hate that place but i loved white sands...awesome pics
