An independent spirit

This old gentleman was up early one morning having a cup of coffee and rolling his own on the veranda of the old Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee, Arizona. I asked his permission before taking this impromptu portrait. I think he reflected an independent spirit and a contentment with letting the world go by.

Great pose. That's real street photography.
It would have been awesome without the distracting steel fence behind him and with some noise control and richer B&W conversion.
