The last was shot with my trusty Pentax 12-24. I have not done that many Marco's but given the weather lately I may be trying more. JIM

Thanks Susan. Marco is new to me. The park is only about 15 minutes from where I live. It was pouring rain. JIM

Nice work Jimbo. I've been playing a lot with the macros myself. Fun fun stuff. I do love the woods in the rain though. I miss those moss-covered trees in that part of the world. Gorgeous.

Thank you Mel. When the weather is not good for my landscape shots I try macros. JIM

Really like the shot of the forest. We've got a lot of trees like that but I always have a tough time shooting them well. Nicely done!

Beatiful textures in those captures Jim. Good results from the 12-24.
Good to see you keep enjoying going out taking photos.

The forest shot is especially successful. There's a point of interest created by a faint lighter vertical band about 1/3 in from the left, with a trees especially to the right seeming to converge on it as a vanishing point. That gives the photo a visual fix. I've taken many forest shots, but without such a subtle point to draw the eye, the overall composition doesn't work as well as this one.

You got was I was tryting to do with the left upper. I also believe it added a different texture the the greeny. I was also looking for more light in the background. The nest time I get there I may even light the foreground a bit in some areas with my car to show the bark a little better. Appreciate you taking the time to review my image, JIM
