Been working on my macro techniques over the past 3 weeks with help from the members of this sites "Macro Group". Happy to say I'm getting better, having fun trying, and learning from my mistakes.

But seriously, a hell of an image. Brilliant exposure and colours throughout, loves those nast eyes and mandibles. I guess those things have fingers, who knew! I can't read insect body language (happily) but yeah I'd say that your assessment was correct.
