Festival of lights
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 12-02-2006, 12:34 AM

Tonight I went down to the Festival of lights display to take a few photos. It was -14C and a bit of wind and man was that cold. I was outside for 45 minutes and the K100D never missed a beat. I could not use a tripod so they are all handheld. The SR seems to work good. Let me know what you think,

Heinrich

Hi Clarence, thanks for the kind remarks. Have a look a the exif, it's intact in all of them. This one was taken at ISO 400, f:5,6 and 1.3 sec shutter speed. That is the reason that this one is not really sharp, all were handheld.

If you can use a tripod and shoot in aperture priority mode.

Take care, Heinrich

14 degrees below? Is that Centigrade or Farenheit? Anyway, cold!! (shiver ...) You did very well in that conditions, and made good use of image stabilization. I like them all, but especially the last one.

Wow! For being hand held, they look amazing.
I think the exposure is spot on, and the reflections really give the photos that "added something"
thanks for sharing this with us.
