Interesting subjects yet so foreign to me. We don't have a lot of 2,000 yr old structures in the US.

I like the second shot the best There's a nice old feel to it.

Have been here myself but would love to return again. My husband is turkish so I spend alot of time in Turkey. Photographing, wandering about or doing anything is a pleasure in Istanbul..

Nicely done! I was in Ephesus and shot probably 500 images in that site alone. Lots of bracketed panoramas. It's good to see how someone else viewed the same location!

thanks smigol. quite an amzing place wasn't it! I was with a tour group so all my shots were on the run. The incredible thing is they've only uncovered a small portion of the city. Was very hot the day we were there, and close to midday, so I had to work with bright sunlight!
please share some of your shots with us.

I love Ephesus too! I usually get a chance to go about 3-4 times each year and have been maybe 12-15 times over the past 5-6 years....love it. One of my favorite opportunities was about 4 years ago when I was able to go in as an escorted guest before opening time and made many many photos of the site with no other people in the shots. Lovely.

You guys post some of your shots. We'd love to see them. I envy you getting to stay in that part of the world Jason. I got to go to Athens, Ephesus and Knosos on Crete. I especially enjoyed the food and the raki of course! :-) Athens is a wonderful city.

All very nice shots.

It looks like you suffer from the Pentax "leaning viewfinder" like I do. I would level the shots.

It's looks really nice. One way to explore Ephesus has its own schedule with the hiring of a taxi priavate town of Kusadasi, which lies about 19 km. trading price with the driver, which includes drop you off directly in front of the ruins and wait for the end of the tour drive you back to town. You can buy the same entrance to the audio tour and explore at your leisure.
