Innocent
Lens: Quantaray 20-80mm Camera: K20D

My baby niece. I took probably sixty photos, and only three were worth keeping. I'm still having focusing issues, and every time she's moving even a little, blur happens. This was my favorite, and I'm glad it turned out. Catching her right as she was crawling off to find some major trouble. That look says "I wasn't going to do anything, Auntie, I promise!"

Yeah she is, on both counts. I really wish I knew what I was missing/doing wrong. I've read and re-read the manual on every aspect of focusing. I seem to be doing everything it says, and yet...I still have out of focus or soft pictures.

If you go here:

Pentax Beginner's Corner Q&A - PentaxForums.com

And ask questions, post a new thread there, you can tell them your settings and what you're doing to take the photos, they (bunch of informed photogs) will help you get the right focus.

The expression is great on your nieces face, and she is a cutie

Are you manually or auto focusing? If it's the auto focus maybe try changing the preset 11 point focusing to a centre focus. I like this best if im auto focusing for a portrait as i can centre the thing / person i wish to have in focus then swing out and compose my photo while holding that focus.

If it's manual focusing, try the auto focus, or try focusing through live view, helps me a lot and im a newbie to my K-x
