Rainstorm and Buttercups, Wairarapa

One of several versions, this is the first one I've edited so just gauging feedback. Some other versions have more central buttercups I might choose. Cheers.

In Black & White it creates a very dramatic effect for this shot. Well done.

Very nice indeed - it's almost ironic: the sunny disposition of the flowers compared with the ominous sky (like just before a stock market crash ).

Super job, in my view - composition and conversion.

well, you'd have the entire background in grayscale (B&W) but leave the colour of the buttercups, yellow!

so u have yellow flowers on a black and white background..

Beautiful contrasty B&W landscape.
Well done.
I also wonder what effect it would have with selective colouring, but the result is striking nonetheless.

I doubt I would have considered converting foreground buttercups to B&W, but it certainly works here. Without seeing the original, I suspect the dramatic clouds have become a more important component of the image than they were in color.

Oh I see what you mean, however not a fan of selective colouring personally (on most occasions anyway).

Fantastic lighting well composed and converted. Good job an all three accounts, and I'm glad you didn't do selective desaturation.
