never seen a dragonfly with folded wings

It's not a Dragonfly which has 4 wings but a Damsel Fly which only has 2 wings. I think they are of the same species though.

Very nice tight shot with good detail. Dragonflies and damsel flies are in the same group of insects (order Odonata) and all have four wings. They're a very ancient group, going at least back the great coal swamps of Pennsylvanian time (about 230 million years, give or take). At that time there was a notably large dragonfly with a wingspan up to ~18 inches (~45cm).

Nice capture, but the lighting is reversed from ideal. You might be able to fix in post processing, making the subject lighter and the background darker.
