Boys Playground
Lens: Carl Zeis Flektogon 35 Camera: K-7

This will, perhaps, be a little harder to figure out to someone who did not grow up in skyscrapers, concrete or asphalt. As boys, we had a habit to gather along the walls of buildings, in a corners, hiding in the dark "underground" garage, where our parents and the neighbors won't see us. There, where everything that could fall from the sky was actualy falling on concrete - dead birds, cigarette butts, burnt dinners. Those were our places for the imagination, a little scary and full of boys legende. Kids are no longer gathering there. Where are the boys these days? At shopping centers?

Shoot with K-7 + Carl Zeis Flektogon 35/2.4. And the rest of this series can be seen on jadran.boban

A wonderful collection of photos, I do like the focus and direction you went with these. Theres a certain "wonder" to the environment of the photos- a very classic feel of how boys will be boys.

May I ask, did you render the shots in black and white in post?

thx Phil! Yes, I shoot RAW, but I use custom b&w style on my camera just to have right feeleng when I shoot and review at the display. I did post in Photoshop, but all it was converting to b&w and making a stronger contrast (squizeeng histogram). But, the right ambiental light is everything for good photo.
