Posted By: goddo31, 10-04-2010, 10:08 PM

Here are some photos I took while visiting Milford Sound in New Zealand earlier in the year. Only just processed the photos recently...
1. (taken with DA55-300)

2. (taken with DA55-300)

3. Getting a bit too close?
(taken with DA55-300)

4. A wall of water
(taken with DA55-300)
Taken from a similar position to the boat in #3 above! Yay for weather sealing

5. Mitre Peak through the trees
(taken with DA15Ltd)

C&C welcomed. cheers,

Hey thanks Jer. The scenery made it fairly easy, the waterfall was pretty spectacular in person. I also managed to get rather wet after taking shot #4!

Thanks, that shot is my favourite also.
Forgot to mention earlier, but here is the set with some more shots: Milford Sound - a set on Flickr

Goddo, I was at the sound in April this year and stood on the very prow of the boat as it approached the same waterfall you show in pics 3 & 4. I had absolutely no fear about my k-7 as the water sprayed all around me. It was bloody cold though!

Great shots.

wizofoz, I'm sure you weren't on my boat (because I was the only Pentax shooter standing at the prow getting soaked!) but I was there in April too so it could have been close. From my EXIF, this is when I took photo #4:

Thanks, I just had a look through them, nice I went to many of the same places or areas that I can see in your shots. The Tasman glacier lake with the icebergs was awesome IMO.

Another shot from Milford Sound:

Nice views!
