Love the third pic but is that flare at the corners? And WHAT is the fourth pic?

Thanks - I think that is flare in the bird shot; I was using a cpl polarizing filter on my 18-55mm kit lens and that's just the way it turned out. Any ideas on reducing this?

4th shot is an oyster shell - oyster was eaten.

Dof thanks to my trusty FA 50mm.
