Great Egret
Lens: DA*300 F4 Camera: K-x Photo Location: So.Cal ISO: 200 Aperture: F5.6
Posted By: Harish Hegde, 10-09-2010, 04:21 PM

Just bought this lens and couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. AF on K-x is not exactly a birder's dream but it will have to until K5 gets here.

Thank you for looking.

Harish

Very nice Harish,

Always like Egret in action images. This is not a criticism and I know this is only one example from the series but the Pentax colours are much more appealing to me than the Nikon. I guess that makes me a Pentax fanboy.

I agree. Nikon has better AF speed than my Kx but weighs about 3 times more. Hopefully the K5 that I am waiting for has much improved AFand shutter speed .If that is the case, I am keeping the D700 and AFS 500F4 only for short walks from the car.

Thanks.

Attractive shots.
The K-x and the DA*300 seem to make a great pair, delivering very nice high resolution. Image #2 in particular is very crisp.
