The BIG DAY - My Daughter's Wedding
Lens: DA 15, DA 21, DA 40 Camera: K20D Photo Location: Hocking Hills, OH
Posted By: Sailor, 10-12-2010, 11:30 AM

On Saturday, my neuroscientist daughter, Robin, was married to her neuroscientist fiance, Kurt, in an outdoor wedding held in Ohio's Hocking Hills area south of Columbus. The weather was perfect, and the turning leaves were a sight for sore eyes for us Texas folks.

Here are some snaps I took the day of wedding (I hired a pro to do the wedding and reception). The last three pics indicate the perfect conditions we enjoyed.

Jer

Robin - looking like the wicked witch of the west - gets the "treatment" from the stylist - her Aunt Ruthie who came from Mississippi to do the job:

Bridesmaid, Cullen (a grad student at Scripps), gets prepared:

A group shot of the bride's half of the wedding party, the pastor and my wife (looking strained) - none of whom live in or near Ohio; my older daughter (and the Matron of Honor) is not in the shot:

Pics around the wedding site:

Hey, buddy - I appreciate it. The wedding was outside so no church shots - I'll see what Robin gets back from the "real" photographer and post some examples. I'm back in the "real" world now (in Texas) and on the boat to meet a service guy first thing tomorrow for annual engine maintenance - another expense .

Thanks, these DA Limited are a joy to use. I've also got the 35 and 70 (I couldn't resist), but didn't take them on this trip.

Congrats Jer, both to you and to your daughter and new son-in-law. Sounds like you are set for medical care at least! LOL

Wonderful candids by the way!
