Nature Bald Eagle

In late January and early February the weather is extremely cold, and due to this the people in Sheffield Mills Nova Scotia put out chicken carcasses to feed the local eagle population, the day this picture was taken the temperature was a chilly -35, but it was clear an sunny.

Beautiful and spectacular shot!!! In fact I'd have to say that this is the best eagle shot i have seen in years. We saw a trio of bald eagles one afternoon on our trip to Maine, but they never really got close enough, nor was the light good enough to get more than documentary shots.
