Lens: various Camera: K20D Photo Location: Acadia National Parke, ME
Posted By: MRRiley, 10-15-2010, 01:50 PM

Here is another set of shots from our Maine trip...

Acadia Sunrise - I'm not super happy with this one because the foreground is boring but the sky colors were nice. - DA*16-50mm

B&W version of "Pebbles Awash on Little Hunters Beach" - DA*16-50mm

Little Hunters Beach Surf - DA*16-50mm

Lakeside Birch Trees - DA*60-250mm

Not so Itsy Bitsy Spider - I walked right under this beastie before I saw him... - DA*60-250mm

Twin Birch Trunks - DA*16-50mm

Maple Leaf - DA*60-250mm

Both sets of pics are superb, Mike - looks like a fun trip Been to Maine twice, but haven't made it to Acadia yet. Thanks for posting these! Oh, and who needs a foreground when you get dawn skies like that?

Thanks Jim! It was a gorgeous sunrise but the "formalist" in me cries out for a foreground element... LOL And if you ever get the chance to go to Acadia, DO NOT PASS IT UP!

Hey, these are great, Mike. I particularly like the maple leaf and birch tree shots - great examples of making everyday subject really special.

Superb photos, Mike. I especially like the water photos, but they're all excellent. The dawn clouds are stunning!

Thanks! It took several shots to capture just the right pattern and luminousity. And a couple of the waves soaked me up to the ankles. Good thing I had dry socks and shoes in the car.

LOL!!! Thanks Mel! Did you happen to get down to Little Hunters Beach when you were out here? Its a really neat little beach, but not obvious from the road.

Thank you! I saw that lone bright red leaf from about a half mile away.
