Lake Mohave, AZ
Lens: 50mm f1.7 Camera: K-x Photo Location: Bullhead, AZ ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/750s Aperture: F8

We are camped in Bullhead City for a week and stopped while going to Katherine Landing to take a photo of Lake Mohave near Telephone Cove, AZ

Absolutely beautiful scene .... but two problems to my eye.

1. You have cropped off (or not got in the original shot) the top of the mountain on the left. You could easily lose some of the grass foreground but keep the mountain top in view.

2. This is showing up as incredibly soft (or over-processed) on my screen, so I'm not sure whether it's the forum software compression or the shot that's caused it. I would have hyperfocaled that shot by focusing just in front of the boat and then recomposing - but maybe that's what you did and something else has happened here.

Looking at the photo, the 50mm lens gives very good color, I think I over edited the photo which caused the soft look. I see what you mean as far as the mountain being included. This is a learning experience for me and I am progressing slowly but with momentum. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Bob

As you say, great colour. I would crop to leave in the top of the left mountain and have the bottom cropped just so the water appears to spill out of the bottom right of the photo.
