Couldn't resist ;)
Posted By: Jana, 12-03-2006, 12:50 AM

I've just couldn't resist not to post some photos made with my new toy K10D that I received few days ago. I really had no time to make a proper test, but even the visit of our poor Zoo was enough for first impressions I wish to share. Not only animals :P

Wow, Very beautiful photographs especially your animal protraits! They all have cheeky expression!

Sure you had used some of telephoto lenses? What did you use?

Fantastic camera and photographer!

Thanks a lot roentarre

I'm very enthusiastic and happy about the results that the new camera offers. It really is a fantastic camera.
For all these photos I used Pentax lens F 70-210

Well, what a great skill you have!! Sharp cilia or fur and it is also the way you composed. I noted all your animal shots have their heads parallel to your camera lens - A great approach to animal shots

Your website photos are amazing too. Artistic in deed and i am sure that if you do poetry, the words could make people sentimental

Now that's a term I have not heard before. I'm guessing that means something to do with levels in Photoshop?

Thanks for your touching words roentarre. Unfortunately I do not do poetry, but I think that photos speak universal language and they speak for themselves, and if people can read them, that's enough for me.

About the approach you mentioned I must say that very often I do unusual things to get the right angle and to get as close as possible, sometimes even too close .. :P

And to Chris .. Most of my photos have no post production.
And photos in this post have none at all.

Hello Jana,
The shots here and in your gallery are fantastic. I think your Zoo would be proud to see and display these shots. If I were you I would show them to who is ever in charge and see if they want them for promotional shots for the Zoo.

Good Shooting.
Cheers: David

I cannot add anything to the kudos you have received, except to say you have a real talent and a good eye. Amazing shots, makes me envy your hand, eye and camera.

Hi Jana, you call the zoo poor but looking at these images the animals all look content and well fed, sleepy even. :-P

All very nice, I like the plant pictures too, thanks for sharing and congratulation on the K10D, I'm waiting for mine.

Cheers,
-Asad
