(Several) Air Show Photos
Lens: DA 55-300 Camera: K20 Photo Location: Marietta, GA ISO: 200

Probably a tired subject, like flowers, lol, but here are several from yesterday's show at Dobbins ARB in GA. The sun was directly in front of the crowd, making very challenging shooting conditions for me, so these are pretty much the best I could manage- I'm sure some of those Big Lens types have far better examples. I walked around with my DA 70 Ltd after the flying was done, while waiting for the horrendous bus lines to go down...

F16

F18 Super Hornet (?)

The Snowbirds

Snowbirds in B&W

Blue Angels in famous Echelon formation.

Low pass!

The Oracle Pilot is tops!

Cuts the ribbon!
I'll stop before this gets boring.

Are you kidding, air shows are NEVER boring. I bet Cobb Parkway was a mess afterward...

Airshows a 'tired subject" ??? Sacrilege!!!

Really good job on these, especially considering the sun's position. I think they need to redesign the layout of every military airfield to take into account the necessary viewing position of spectators during air shows. I mean, that just makes perfect sense to me. LOL

Particularly good job on the Blue Angels shots and great timing on the opposing pass. That is one of the hardest shots at any airshow and to get both aircraft in the frame at the same time is an accomplishment. Well done!

Ha, thanks! I really wasn't serious about the tired thing- I love everything that flies unless it stings or bites- many years of R/C aerobatics here.

Thanks

And Jasvox- I waited until the last bus to Lockeed and avoided the traffic getting out.

Super job! I much prefer pics of the airshow vs flowers (), but we do have some great flower shooters here also. Saw the Blue Angles (very impressive) and the Oracle plane at the Andrews AFB show in May.
