My daughter caught this guy out of the corner of her eye in the tall grass - I was able to get a few snaps before he took off and do whatever it is that Coyote's do ( I did not see any road runners )

Good shootin. We have tons of yotes out here. One of my favorite hiking/photography areas is Rocky Mountain National Park, which is about 30 minutes west of me.

One day, while me and a girlfriend were taking a break and eating a snack, we watched as a coyote stalked around us within ~75 feet. He was moving extremely slow for about 10 minutes and then just dropped down into the grass and came up with a large ground squirrel. I think he was hearing the squirrel running in its tunnel and just followed the sound to the entrance.

Real neat, sure wish I had my camera with me at the time.

Thanks Jimbo that last couple of times at the park have been fruitful for sure. Wildlife is a plenty there but luck and timing are key (more the former).

Thanks Colorado CJ - that would have been neat to see for sure and if you had shot of that wow National Geographic stuff ...
