Here are some pics I took last weekend in a beach nearby:

Light HDR on this one:

No HDR:

A little stronger HDR:

Good shots!

I prefer the last one; the first two I find sort of very harsh looking, but that's my opinion.
(I don't do HDR).

I'm not an HDR fan to be honest and I understand your opinion, even if ironically, the last shot was actually where I used the strongest HDR. And I didn't use it on the second one (the portrait-oriented one). Cheers!
