New Vivitar 400mm test shots

Ok, it's not new, but it is new to me Got it from Igowerf out of the marketplace here.

I like the first shot , though too much space to the left , IMHO .

Nothing likes a "new toy" , eh ?

The butterfly is spot on and I agree needs to be cropped. The second one the colors are too close to bokeh background - but focus is well done. I would agree nice purchase !

Thanks for the comments... Seems to be a pretty decent lens, especially for the price ,and the condition it is in, glass is flawless, and just a few minor marks otherwise on the body.

Nice photographs.

I'm falling in love with Old Vivitar lenses.

Too bad that they don't show any on their web site. I'm very interested in what they make now.
I don't even know where or if I can buy them new in Canada.

clone out that blob (looks like sensor dust) in the middle of the first one and you have a great shot. Nice work.

I like that Butterfly shot and I'd say you've got a very good lens there. Just for fun (I hope you don't mind) I fooled around with the shot a bit. In some shots I like the blank space and with this one I think it works well. Here's my take on it.
