Assorted Autumn Photos from an Afternoon Stroll (8 photos)
Lens: SMC Pentax-A 135mm F2.8 Camera: K20d Photo Location: near home
Posted By: Rense, 10-31-2010, 09:55 AM

With the Single in November challenge at the doorstep, I wanted to try the lens I picked myself for the upcoming month: the SMC Pentax-A 135mm F2.8. I don't find this an easy length: not a real tele, imo, and not a thing for indoors. But with the nice weather of this afternoon, and the autumn colours at their best in our neck of the woods, I thought I should give it a try. Gives me the opportunity to change my choice if necessary. But coming back, selecting my photos, I think I can live with this one from tomorrow for next month. Let November come!

Great series Rense!
The light was very beautiful today.

I like them all, but I love that first picture

p.s. Zie je wel dat de inspiratie vanzelf komt

Magnificent. Relaxing and peaceful shots. Your use of the light is very impressive. Well done, Rense!

Very nice work Rense. I particularly like the shots with the fine bokeh. The bokeh in the tractor looks unreal. What I like about such a prime lens (135, F2.8) is that you can shoot into the sun as with the girls shot, and you can observe whether it will flare or not, because the hood is specifically designed for the focal length.

Excellent as always, Rense. My favorites are the ones with water, as well as the Hedera Helix-- beautiful bokeh. Well done.

Stunning series! I find Reformanda and Hike especially appealing. I'm literally drawn into the photos, it feels like I'm there!

Psychedelica is my favorite in this group, although the similar shot with a female mallard is also pleasing. Curious that you got doughnut-like - perhaps "bubble-like" - highlights in that first photo. Almost looks like a mirror lens shot. That's not a criticism, just an observation.

Very enjoyable, as always, my friend. I like each one, but I especially dig the first one.
