The Olympic Peninsula
Lens: 12-24 and 18-250 Camera: K20D Photo Location: Washington ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F9.5

Here is a series of photos I took this last summer in Olympic National park

The first two photos are taken at LaPush, on the far western edge of the peninsula






These are along the shore of Lake Crescent






These are taken on the road to Hurricane Ridge






This is a view of Mt Baker from Sequim

Wow, great pictures. I really need to visit that area some day. I've never been in a temperate rainforest (or any rainforest for that matter), but I've always wanted to.

I'm used to a drier climate, so all I see are scrub and evergreen normally.

That forest reminds me of one of the old Star Wars movies.

Thank you for comments. I am glad you like them. I wish I had more than two days to shoot because there is so much diversity.
Steve, yes the first two were taken with the 12-24 lens. There was very little pp necessary. The lens is terrific in these situations.
