Great skin complexion with large sparkling eyes. Quite watery in deed. I had read somewhere that lumiquest is not as good as softbox used on the flash in a review article of UK photography monthly - apparently the illumination of photograph subject is not as great as softbox. Your photo shows a great protrait

Wow! A lot of "pop" here! Like how the hairs dangle in front of her face.

Great detail - and great use of the pocket bouncer and flash. Thanks for showing!

To be honest, I really don't know much about flash photography. The bouncer came with the flash from an ebay seller last spring... I didn't like the head-on look of flash mounted directly to the hot shoe so I bought a Promaster TTL cord a month later. I just use the whole setup in manual mode since I don't like preflash and the bouncer changes the light output enough that neither TTL nor the on-flash sensor work properly. I guess the loss of TTL support with the K10D would make no difference to me.

I gather there are a lot of ways to diffuse the light but this setup was extremely cheap... all of $25, I think. At some point, I'll get something capable of high speed sync since I'm mostly interested in fill light.

Thanks everyone for having a look at my first image posted here!

Excellent focus and detail. Do those big brown eyes melt your heart or what?

A beautiful capture of a beautiful subject.

p.s. Are you a tennis player? POG has a connotation (a good one) in tennis circles.

"pog" is from P.O.G. We drink a lot of it around here! (Passion Orange Guava blend)... made by Haleakala Dairy here but I think it's found markets all over the place.

I once needed a 3 letter alias for something years ago... it kinda stuck with me.
