Thanks Adam! Funny you should say that - one of my acquaintances from Japan visited the Gold Coast in Australia and was amazed by how fine and white the sand was. The friend in this photo is a bit of chameleon - depending on the clothes and circumstances, she looks very different. She often looked a little like a native American to me, but in fact her ancestry is a mix of European and Japanese.
