Great series! That pool in front of the arch would have made a very interesting subject on its own, I think!

The second one is amazing. I really like the perspective.

Haaa, Paris... I can't get enough of that city !

You have some very nice shots there ! I really like the first one, I had never seen the colors on the ground in front of La Défense before, and I'm a sucker for "down-low-wide-angle-leading-to-a-big-structure" kind of shots However, I might have tried to frame it so the arch was off-center, probably to the right, and thereby remove the "espace info Défence" building at the right edge.

I really like the one with the Batobus & Notre-Dame in the background as well, and the perspective in the 2nd shot, under the arch.

I think I have one like that as well. Tried different shots, but haven't had time to PP them. (I waited for DxO updates that would support K-x, and now that they've become available I have pressing things on my mind.)

A wonderful group of photos - I especially like the second one and how the building dwarfs the people. Very nice shots, indeed.

Nice captures of a historic area for sure. Love the framing and angles you used.

Love the ones from La Défense! It's one of the best places in Paris - at least when you love modern architecture. In fact this is the place where my eyes were opened for the beauty of it....

Not sure about that... Do make the trip if you ever have the money. (You can save by using a cheap 16-45mm rather than some expensive piece of glass ) Fortunately for me, my wife had an internship in Brussels, not far from Paris. After seeing Paris for the first time, we decided it was our favorite city and the we'd need to re-visit it.

Thank you all--seeing you reactions, and knowing what many of you have posted on PF, I have to say I feel flattered.
