Shot wist *istDL at f/4 @ 1/15s handheld.

C&C welcome.

Looks really good. Sharp, good color, and most importantly it has good character. Good job. Nice lens, too.

Thanks, Dave. The photo was a bit too sharp and I had to apply a little bit of surface blur. Fortunately I didn't have to resort to using myself as the model

Nice shot. I would like to see the original picture too. However, I must say that there's a bit distraction in the background. I know the shot was ment to test the lens. But what's she sitting in front of?

Thanks, Syb. I shot in raw, so anything I'd post would need some PP. The object in the background is a file cabinet with a box sitting on top. I really didn't concern myself with the backgroung for these test shots. I thnk the Sigma 105 will work fine for portraits.

A nice, tack-sharp photo.

Nice lens, nice model.

Holy Batman! I just realized this was a hand-held shot!

Impressive.

Nice ... from what I have heard ... pretty much all of the prime Macros lenses worth very well for portrait lenses.

I am actually going to have a go with my Tamron 90mm Macro lens for longer portrait shots as well .... and will see how they go.

You have done well ... the skin tones are pretty much spot-on ... and the soften worked nicely.

That's what I call SHARP. But, how can something be too SHARP? That's a statement I don't understand.
