Shot this one also in Copper Basin in the same place as previous. Played with it a bit. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Nice pic Clarence, I like the flow of it, the detail of the rock and the play in color. Although I would crop about 40% from the bottom. Reason; too much of the same tone in that part of it and distracts from the rock, to me the rock is the main focal point. You also have that same tone merging into the upper part of the photo which draws me down away from the rock for no reason. On the other hand the color in the lower part is being wind blown upwards where the dominance of the rocks color, could not.
But like I said before, nice pic...

An interesting texture. Like the tatami or hay rolls splayed. Somehow there is an illusion of a wave running from left upper corner to right lower corner...

Nice pic

I agree with WJ. crop-off the bottom. Overall, very nice presentation, especially the white matting.

it's very graphical photo, theyalready told you about the interesting "waving" effect you have achieved.

what worries me is the drop shadow effect next to the outer black frame. i don't like that.

otherwise the photo is good.

Thank you all for your inputs. I will take further look at cropping some off the bottom. just doing a visual, hiding part of the bottom with my hand on the screen, showed me a better composition. Thanks. I amazes me what can be seen by new eyes on a photo. I never visualized the wave until you mentioned it, then more possibilities arose. Standing over this dry pond I was so attracted to the texture and the contrasting differences, action vs. stable, fiberous vs. solid, direction and opposition. It was fun to capture and I am glad it came across as pleasing.

A little off-topic but, that's what team meetings are all about. A forum in nothing more than a team on a larger scale.

Share your ideas and the end results will ALWAYS be positive.
