Blue & Glass
Posted By: The Pentax Hammer, 09-22-2007, 08:32 PM

The new Marriott Hotel opened this week in town. I had to grab a quick shot from below... down at the river boardwalk level. HDR from a single RAW.

Criticism and comments appreciated.

Nice colours and reflections Gary and an interesting perspective. Contrasting vertical lines with the horizontal roundness of the building adds interest.

I think my favorite thing about this one is the cloud texture. Amazing!

Very nice photo. It makes me want to experiment more with HDR. The geometry's great.

The only downside I see to it (which isn't necessarily much of a downside depending on what you were going for) is that it looks kind of unreal because of the HDR. The sky isn't evenly colored right around the building and the reflection of the clouds is much brighter than the clouds themselves.

Yer haven' fun with this techinique. This one's even better than the earlier post (not to take anything away from that great shot). Excellent stuff.
