Some forgotten Photos
Posted By: Asad_Masede, 12-05-2006, 02:52 AM

I posted these in my last thread at DPreview and don't think got much attention, atleast I haven't seen the thread again since I got banned very soon after posting it.

Anyway, these are neither with the K10D not the K100D, they are with my faithful DS with the 75mm f/2.5 Voigtlander (sorry Jonas) Color-Heliar. Went for a walk and felt like that combo.

They love you for the peanuts.

Long gone now, they were still around then...

Like the red...

Bright!

A couple with the Sigma

These are with the Sigma 70-200/2.8 EX DG zoom which has become one of my favorite lenses.

Thanks for any comments and critique.

Cheers!

Asad! Did you know you were the one posting images of sigma 70-200/2.8 that prompt me to get this lens?

Here we go...

Various approach and composition. Great colour in every shot.

The squirl is cute; I love the maple leaves so enriched with colour; the leaves with narrow DOF and mutiple tiny circular bokeh are really something - feels sort of your style (Are you melancholic?) plus the blue blue building (which i have a similar shot when i was in New Zealand doing a study course.

have a great day

Man that #4 just jumps off my screen. Love it. The color and compo on the glass vs. sky highrise is very nice too.

Thanks!

Everyone's comments and critique are appreciated.

roentarre: Thanks! I know and am honored that my pictures helped you choose the Sigma 70-200/2.8. Great lens as you're already aware. Heh, well I'm almost melancholic but now that the K10D is here it's all good. :-D

Scott Rylance: Hi Scott, the Voigtlander is a gem to say the least, a non-Pentax Limited, I just wish I had more of this fine line of lenses.

Everyone else: The #4 seems to be a hot favorite everywhere I show these pics. I would have isolated more such details if I had the Sigma with me at the time but didn't during that walk-around.

Anyway, I have my K10D finally and will be posting first pics, later tonight.

Cheers!

Can't wait to see your shots. I went in the office after you and I parted ways, and I plugged in. Then I took it home to continue the charge....sadly, after a very long day, I only now had a chance to plug in the battery. I doubt I'll go out tonight but I do look forward to your shot you took.

Take care!

Hi, Asad!

Have to chime in with the others: The fourth!!

It pops out at you, has a wonderful balance of red and green making a perfect combination of those complementary colors. Would be an excellent pic for any book on photography, chapter "color". Extraordinary!

Stunning photos, Asad. Good to see your technique again as it is sorely missed over at DPR.

Hi! Asad

Great shots all, but No. 4 is special. Also like the DOF on the squirrel, it seems to make a mundane shot eyecatching. Congrats on the K10, but you don't really need it, you do just fine without.
