Anglesey, North Wales at its most rugged
Posted By: simonkit, 09-23-2007, 09:57 AM

Did a bit of coastal walking along the most rugged part of the Anglesey coastal path yesterday, spectacular in places - scattered with remnants of the industrial revolution too. A few shots, all with Sigma 17-70.

That first shot looks HDR! Fantastic results. I'm leaning toward this lens more every day.

That's been mentioned before on other images I've posted - for my own "natural looking" tastes I find the shots need minimal processing

- this has been through RAW conversion only, no USM etc in photoshop - I even had to reduce the default contrast setting in ACR4.1 !!

I'm certainly impressed by the 17-70

Nice shots! Here you go again, teasing us with more stunning shots of wild and woolly Wales. Looks like a good 'walk around' lens you have there; clear, contrasty and bloody sharp!

Those are all beautiful shots, tack sharp and great colour. Wales looks like a gorgeous country.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

I initially bought the 18-55 kit lens but to be honest was disappointed, maybe I had a poor copy & immediately replaced it with the Sigma - without exaggerating the difference is incredible !!
