Last weekend I went to Vegas for a wedding and while I was there I checked out Red Rock Canyon just outside of the city. I only had about 2 or 3 hours there but I took lots of pictures.

I also made some panoramas. It didn't seem worth it to upload the lo res versions of those so here are the links to the full versions:

Any comments or critiques are appreciated.

Great pictures! The desert landscape as to be one of the most interesting to photograph, so many colors and shapes.

Oh boy - these are great to see. Super series - I've never been there but I sure want to go now.

Thanks for your comments. I don't know why so many people spend all their time in casinos when this place is so close.

I totally agree with you. I was in Vegas for a work trip and couldn't wait to get out of the city and explore the mountains and desert. I also went to Red Rock and Mt. Charleston (beautiful if you get the chance to go, it's about an hour north of Vegas).

Great photos here and thanks for sharing. As stated above, so many different colors and textures. You captured them well.

All are nice, but the shot of the climber is superb. Composition is spot on on that one.
