I'm a posting fool since I got Adobe Photoshop Elements 9. Here are some more K1000 pictures I took on or around October 11, 2010, while my family was visiting. Enjoy!
.) C-47 Transport Plane used during WWII outside the Silent Wings Museum north of Lubbock.
.) The Cactus Theater in the entertainment district of Lubbock (called the Depot District)
.) The exterior of the Buddy Holly Center in the Depot District (formerly a train station)
.) Another shot of the Buddy Holly Center's exterior (train station designation)
.) The Buddy Holly Mural on 19th Street; almost right across the road from the Buddy Holly Center
.) The Metro Tower (or NTS Building, as I call it) - It was built in 1955 and moved 10 inches (or 24.5 centimeters, for the rest of the world) off its foundation by the F5 scale 1970 Lubbock Tornado. It sat gutted by the tornado for years while pigeons made their home in it and also while they debated tearing it down. I'm glad they didn't, because it's very interesting for a piece of modern architecture.
.) The Pioneer Hotel - This building was built in 1926. It's one of the most interesting buildings in Lubbock and is currently being renovated into apartments/condominiums.
.) Another shot of the Pioneer Hotel.
If you can't tell already, I really love Lubbock…
