honestly, 10 minutes earlier without the dude fishing and it would have been a stellar photo, i feel he's not adding anything except distraction. my eyes want to look at him, but he's more in the way than anything else.

I like the concept, although like every other photo there's room for improvement.

I don't feel that 10 min earlier would have improved it. Although under exposing it just a little would have richened up the colors.

The fisherman...... well it could work if he was mid cast
Better yet, how about a flyfisher tossing his line out.
Although you don't need anyone there, the background is nice enough on it's own.

I have to agree, that person is a bit distracting. Might be better if he was in focus also, but he might be to close to have everything to be in focus. His posture also looks more like he's fixing his fishing rod more than being interested in fishing which makes me associate with him less.

I agree with Avant, if the person was focused on fishing and a bit further away from the camera so that he took up less of the image it would be much better. The background is really great and could have stood on its own but I like the idea of the fisherman in the shot.
