African thunderstorm lightning shots

Have been trying to get some pics of lightning for a while and was fortunate enough to be around for this storm... taking pics of lightning really is touch and go with trying to time your photo's, but managed these:

Not bad- but a smaller aperture here would probably have made these much more effective! Nevertheless, nice work!

You got some strikes there Gordon, though you indeed could have done with some stopping down, lower ISO and longer shutter speeds. Keep at it.

No flash used but I suspect something weird is happening when I develop my RAW files in Corel?? I had a look at the originals and they are no where near as exposed as these??

Will have to try and find out what is happening... almost as though my software is blowing the RAW files out?
