Dusk Falling on Horsetooth
Lens: A 50mm F2 Camera: Kx Photo Location: Northern Colorado ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

Took a bike ride this evening and shot a few pictures along the way. Here is one of them.

The A 50mm F2 takes a good picture, but I can't wait for my DA 40 to arrive!

Nice mood and light. Is it me, or is the horizon slightly tilted?

I think it is just an optical illusion. There is no real horizon to look at since the whole area is tilted every which way. The only thing I had to go on when shooting is the water itself. If you look at the ripples in the water and only concentrate on the water, you'll see that the picture is actually straight.

There are alot of areas like this around here. In many areas such as Laramie, WY, all the buildings look like they are build crooked because of the way the land itself is tilted.

Brings back memories. I lived in Ft. Collins for a number of years. Can you still see the sunken buildings when the water is low?
