Out in the Country
Posted By: areidjr, 09-25-2007, 05:22 AM

"Before the breathin' air is gone
Before the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttime
Out where the rivers like to run
I stand alone and take back somethin' worth rememberin'" - Three Dog Night

I took a little ride out into the nearby farm country shortly before sunset and here's a couple of shots I took with my DL and Sigma 18-50 1:2.8 EX DC.

Comments and critique welcome.

Hi Al

I really like the last three photos, very nice lighting and composition!

By the way, how do you find Sigma 18-50/2.8 EX DC? How is its flare control? I might pick it up in the future to replace the kit lens, can't afford the DA* lenses =(

Thanks
Kenny

Thanks, Kenny. I set out about an hour before sunset in hopes of catching good light.

I've found that it's best to keep the lens hood on to avoid lens flare. I made a mistake on a recent vacation of using it with a CPL and no hood. That was a mistake. Overall, I like the lens much better than the kit lens.

Thanks, Colleen. Perhaps I'll take another ride tomorrow evening when I get my new K100D Super.
