Thanks for the input! I actually
flattened the tone in several of these, trying to draw attention to the silhouttes and the textures of the snow surface, plus (I think) that treatment enhances the mood I was after. I think a traditional bright white snow would have detracted from the texture and definitely the mood. (If I understand what you were suggesting.)
They say Eskimos have a hundred words for 'snow', and I (living in Minnesota) have explored a hundred ways to shoot snow. This is just something different than my usual.
