I've had this possum skull around the house that I know I want to photograph but I haven't had a lot of success with it in the past. I did one for Single In Sept that I put in the book but I was still not really happy with what I was getting. I thought about high key a few days ago and tried a few shots in today's first snow of the year. I've never done any real high key stuff before but I'm liking these. I'm not sure if they are 'real' high key but they're a start.

These are very very nice, Vaughn. I remember your possum skull photos of before, and like photos of bones, so liked them. But these are superlative. The second one looks very like a watercolor painting, while the first one looks like a detailed illustration. I like the high key effect here very much.
