Great stuff Chuck. Where else can you see 4th of July in December? Knowing you would post the good stuff saved me from a very cold shoot.

The firewords are so clear against the smoky light of the mansion it looks like two different shots layered together.

OMG-- It was cold... While the temps were hi 30's (not too bad), the15 MPH winds really put a chill on things...

Arrived at 8AM to grab a good seat and already the first 2 rows were taken. Fortunately, I got up front when the CW folks re-drew the lines around 9:30AM. None-the-less it was a very cold day and a short program 15 minutes. And of course anytime you shoot fireworks that include a building, timing and exposure are a total crap shoot... Lucky to get anything of value... Next year - find a better way. Perhaps a helicotper....

Forgive the shameless self promotion, but in light of all of the Nik/Canon shooters in the Press Box next to me..

Huzzah! -- The following note was received this morning..

"Colonial Williamsburg said: - Your flickr image from the Official Colonial Williamsburg Fan Photo Group has been featured on Colonial Williamsburg’s What’s New. Congratulations, and check back often as our fan base grows and we feature more photos.....The Colonial Williamsburg Web Team"

Its # 2 in this set and of course.... Pentax Rules....

Do you know get a percentage of all the tourist dollars? Way to go regardless. You earned those shots.
