I adopted a cat last weekend, but had to give him back since the girlfriend had a bad allergic reaction. Here he is:

I really like the one under the bed.
It brought back memories of our first "rescue kitty", Max. For the first two weeks he would hide under the couch, actually in the couch since it was a hide-abed.
He would work his way into the mechanisms so we could not open it for fear of hurting him...
Coaxing him out with chicken baby food...
